Anastasia is the triple winner of three Gold Medals at the 2007 Ukrainian Cup and the Gold Winner on the Uneven Bars at the 2008 Ukrainian Cup! She is also a Gold Medallist in the European Youth Festival "The Olympic Hopes" in the 2007 Team Championship! In addition, Anastasia has been in the finals of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and in the finals of many other prestigious international competitions. Surgery Completed
Recently Anastasia had surgery done to help her recover from her shoulder injury. She has just started training after taking a break to recover from the surgery, and won't be competing anytime within the near future. I would guess she will return in February to March to competitions.

26'th University Games
Today is the first day of the 26'th University Games which is taking place in Shenzhen China.
Ukraine sent a strong team to the competition, which includes Anastasia Koval, Valentina Golenkova and Yana Demyanchuk.
Anastasia currently has a shoulder injury and is limiting the apparatuses she competes on. She is scheduled to have surgery after the Worlds.

WILL COMPETE
Some good news!!! Anastasia has decided to compete at the upcoming Ukraine Championship in August despite her shoulder injury. It doesn't bother her enough on the Beam, so she'll compete on the Balance Beam at the competition.
She is also planning on competing at the Worlds. After the Worlds, Anastasia will have surgery for her shoulder.

Shoulder Injury Returns
Unfortunately Anastasia Koval will not be able to compete at the Ukraine Championship due to more pain in her shoulder. Back in March of last year, Anastasia injured her shoulder and couldn't compete at the euros. She recovered but injured her other shoulder later on 
.
Unfortunately she is still experiencing pain in her shoulder and will be going under an operation. We wish her the best!

The next competition for the Ukraine gymnasts is the Ukraine Championship which will take place on August 2.
2011 Stella Zakharova Cup - Not Competing
Unfortunately due to Anastasia's nose injury, she won't be able to compete at the Stella Zakharova Cup this year .

This weekend will be the 2011 Stella Zakharova Cup in Kyev Ukraine!

Out of Competition - Injury
Unfortunately during training last Saturday, Anastasia suffered a nasal fracture and will not be competing later this month which was originally planned. Fortunately, nose fractures are not very serious injuries and the average recovery is just a few weeks, so Anastasia will be back to training very soon!
Shoulder Injury
Earlier, Anastasia has been out of competition due to a shoulder injury. She has since recovered and competed at a few events. Unfortunately shortly afterwords her other shoulder was injured 
!
She only trains rarely now, and won't be competing until she recovers. We wish her a full recovery!!!
